A Heating Aurora Contractor Installs a New Furnace and Duct Work
My husband and I bought an old house in Aurora last year, and heating was a definite problem. We knew this would be the case because there was only one heat source in the place, and that was in the living room. It was one of the box furnace systems that fits under a large floor grate and supposedly warms the house through radiant heat. It’s hard to imagine anyone in this northern climate relying on a heat system like that, but they did. In spring, when we had some money saved up, we contacted a Markham heating service that also does heating Aurora service, and discussed having a furnace and duct work installed.
The cost of doing this would be fairly substantial, as a house with this type of heat system does not have heating duct work. The heat just rises from the grate. We couldn’t imagine living like this for another winter, however, particularly since we want to start a family soon. The upstairs is basically useless in the coldest months because there’s no heat source without running a space heater. The heating Aurora contractor installed a natural gas furnace and duct work throughout the house. It’ll be fascinating in winter to see how well this works.
